The small printThe terms on which we provide our services. We have kept them short and in plain English, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.

Please note: this is a working draft prepared for the business. It should be reviewed by a qualified solicitor before the website goes live, particularly sections 6, 8 and 9.
These terms apply to services provided by Buffalo Auto Mobile Steamer, of 75 Purfleet Road, Aveley, Essex, RM15 4DS. You can reach us on 07508 200918 or at contact@buffaloautomobilesteamer.co.uk.
Quotes are based on the information you give us. If the job turns out to be materially different from what was described — a significantly larger property, or contamination we were not told about — we will tell you before we start and agree a revised price with you. We will never carry out extra chargeable work without your agreement first.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise.
A booking is confirmed once we have agreed a date and time with you in writing, by email, text or WhatsApp.
You are responsible for making sure we can access the vehicle or property at the agreed time, and that there is somewhere to park reasonably close by. If we cannot access the job or park within a reasonable distance, and this was not made clear in advance, we may have to reschedule and may charge for the wasted visit.
We bring our own water and power, so you do not need to provide either.
You can cancel or move a booking free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice.
With less than 24 hours' notice, or if nobody is there when we arrive, we may charge a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted price to cover the slot we held for you and turned other work away for.
If we have to cancel — illness, a vehicle breakdown, or weather that would prevent us doing the job properly — we will tell you as soon as we can and either rebook at your convenience or refund any payment in full.
Fixed-price valet packages may be paid securely online in advance. For quoted work, payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. All prices include VAT where applicable.
We will carry out our services with reasonable care and skill, using appropriate equipment and methods for the surface being cleaned.
Steam cleaning achieves excellent results on most surfaces, but it cannot reverse damage that has already occurred. In particular we cannot guarantee to remove:
Where we think a result is unlikely to be complete, we will tell you before we begin rather than afterwards. If in our judgement cleaning would risk damaging an item — a very delicate or already-perished fabric, for example — we will decline to clean it and explain why.
Please remove personal belongings, valuables and loose items from the vehicle or the area to be cleaned before we arrive. We cannot accept responsibility for items left in a vehicle or on furniture.
Please also tell us in advance about anything we should know — a delicate surface, an existing fault, a recent repair, or a pet that will be present.
If you are not happy with the work, tell us within 48 hours and we will come back and put it right at no charge wherever we reasonably can.
We carry public liability insurance. If we damage your property through our negligence, our liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the affected item.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of earnings or the cost of alternative arrangements. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
None of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
We may take before and after photographs of our work for quality records and for our website and social media. These will never show your registration number, your address, or anything that identifies you personally. If you would rather we did not photograph your job at all, just tell us — it is not a problem.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one published when you booked.
