Who we areBuffalo Auto Mobile Steamer is a local, family-run business based in Aveley. We are not a franchise; we are not a call centre, and you will not be passed around to three people before anyone answers.
Like most people round here, we used to take the car down to the local hand wash. Queue up, hand the keys over, wait about, pay, drive off. And every single time there was that small sinking feeling on the way home when the car dried and you could see everything they had missed.
The seats never got properly cleaned. The vents still blew out dust. There was a mark on the back seat that four different places had promised to shift, and none of them ever had. And every visit put a few more fine scratches into the paint from a mitt that had been dragged across a dozen cars before ours.
So we looked into how professionals actually clean things — the way detailers and commercial cleaners do it — and the answer kept coming back to the same thing. Not stronger chemicals. Not more pressure. Steam.
We invested in proper commercial steam equipment, learned to use it correctly, and started with friends' and neighbours' cars. Word spread quickly, largely because people could see the difference rather than just being told about it. Today we cover Essex and East London, and we clean far more than just cars.
Steam is the only approach we found that cleans thoroughly without creating a different problem you pay for later.
A shared wash mitt collects grit from every car before yours, then drags it across your bodywork. Steam never touches paint with anything abrasive, so it physically cannot cause swirl marks.
Strong products leave a film that attracts fresh dirt, so things get dirty again faster. They also sit exactly where your children and pets sit. Steam sanitises with heat and leaves nothing behind.
Jet washing gets through hundreds of litres and floods your driveway. Shampooed carpets can take a day to dry. Steam uses a fraction of the water, so things are usually dry within the hour.
We are a local business trading on our name in a small area. Every job is either a recommendation to a neighbour or a warning to one — and we are well aware which we would rather it be.
That is why we would rather turn down a job we cannot do well than take your money and disappoint you. And if something is not right when we have finished, we would far rather you told us so we can come back and sort it than leave it and never call us again.
Most of our work now comes from people who tried us once, out of curiosity, and never went back to the hand car wash.
