How To Get Your Car Properly Deep Cleaned Without brushes, harsh chemicals or leaving your driveway

Every trip to the hand car wash puts a few more fine scratches into your paint, and the inside never really gets touched. We bring dry steam to your driveway instead — it lifts the dirt out without anything hard ever touching your paint, sanitises as it goes, and leaves the car dry in minutes.

There is a specific reason your car looks worse in bright sunlight than it did the day you bought it — and it is not the weather, the roads or the age of the paint. Keep reading and you will see it.

Be honest

You have paid for the same disappointment a dozen times

Not because you are careless with your car. Because the only option locally was never designed to properly clean anything.

The difference

Same money. Completely different job.

The hand car washWhat you have been buying
  • Shared brushes and mitts, full of the last car's grit
  • Hundreds of litres of water down the drain
  • Strong chemicals that leave a residue attracting fresh dirt
  • Interior gets a hoover and a wipe, nothing more
  • Odours perfumed over, never removed
  • You drive there, queue, and wait
  • Looks good wet, disappointing dry
Buffalo Auto steam cleanWhat you get instead
  • Nothing abrasive touches your paint — ever
  • A few litres of water for the whole job
  • Sanitised by heat alone, no residue left behind
  • Seats, carpets, vents, rails, boot — all steam extracted
  • Odours broken down at the fibre, so they stay gone
  • We come to your driveway while you get on with your day
  • A finish that still looks right a fortnight later

Dry steam
Why it works

Heat does what scrubbing cannot

This is the part nobody explains, so here it is plainly.

A pressure washer uses force. It pushes dirt along the surface, and anything gritty caught in that flow acts like sandpaper. Chemicals dissolve what they touch and leave a film behind that attracts the next layer of dirt.

Steam works differently. Dry steam at over 150°C heats the dirt until the bond between it and the surface simply fails. It lets go. Then it is lifted away and extracted. Nothing scrubs, nothing scratches, and nothing is left behind but the surface underneath.

  • Safe on paint, leather, fabric, alloys and plastics — the temperature and pressure are matched to each surface.
  • Kills bacteria and dust mites in seat fabric and carpet. That is heat sanitising, not fragrance.
  • Uses a fraction of the water, so nothing soaks and nothing floods your drive.
  • Dry within minutes, not overnight. Drive it, or sit on it, straight away.
What happens on the day

We turn up, and we do not cut corners

Two to three hours for a full steam valet, depending on the vehicle and the state it is in. We would rather tell you the truth than promise forty minutes.

01

Walk round together

We look at it with you first, point out anything we may not fully shift, and agree the job before we start.

02

Exterior, no brushes

Steam wash, wheels and arches, tyres dressed, glass inside and out. Nothing abrasive goes near your paint.

03

Interior, properly

Seats and carpets steam extracted. Vents, seat rails, door shuts, boot, console and cup holders — the bits everyone else skips.

04

Final check with you

We walk you round it before we leave. If something is not right, we sort it there and then.

The standard

What a proper clean looks like

The same machine and the same standard, whatever we are pointed at — the inside of your car, the outside of it, then the carpets and sofas in the house.

What local drivers say

A few words from drivers around Essex and East London.

I only booked it because I was fed up of the swirl marks. Stood there watching and there was genuinely nothing touching the paint but steam. First time the car has looked properly clean in daylight.
MichaelUpminster, East London
Did the whole thing outside my house while I carried on working. No queue, no driving anywhere, no standing about on a forecourt. I will not be going back to the hand wash.
PriyaBrentwood, Essex
Paid for a full valet expecting the usual quick hoover. They took the seats right back and did the vents, the rails, all the bits I would never have got to myself. Worth every penny.
JasonBasildon, Essex
Two small children, so the back of the car does not bear thinking about. Knowing it is being sanitised with heat rather than sprayed with something is the whole reason I booked.
HassanPurfleet, Essex
Black car, so every single mark shows. I have had it cleaned plenty of times and always found fresh swirls afterwards. Not this time. The finish is flat and even in full sun.
SophieThurrock, Essex
Had it done before putting the car up for sale. The buyer went on about how clean it was and never tried to haggle me down once. It paid for itself several times over.
DeanStanford-le-Hope, Essex
I cannot stand the chemical smell you are left with after a valet. There was none of it. Just clean. My asthma did not so much as notice, which has never happened before.
BiancaCorringham, Essex
The alloys had brake dust baked into them that nothing had shifted in two years of trying. The steam got in behind the spokes and they came back looking like new wheels.
LeeTilbury, Essex
I worked at my desk through the entire appointment and came out to a car I barely recognised. No forecourt, no waiting room, no afternoon written off queueing.

Before you book

The things people want to check first

Do you need my water or electricity?

No. The van carries its own water and power and is completely self-sufficient. All we need is somewhere to park reasonably close to the vehicle.

Is steam really safe on my paintwork?

Safer than what you have been using. Swirl marks are caused by brushes and mitts dragging grit across the surface — we use neither. Steam lifts dirt away from the paint rather than pushing it along it. It is used professionally on leather, alloys and engine bays too, with the temperature matched to each surface.

Will you get the pet smell out?

In most cases, yes — because we are removing the cause rather than covering it. Heat breaks odour-causing residue down at the fibre. We will be straight with you about the exceptions: a very old, set-in or dye-based stain may lighten a lot rather than vanish, and if we think that is likely we say so before we start, not after you have paid.

How long will it take, and how long until I can use it?

Two to three hours for a full interior and exterior valet, depending on size and condition. Because steam uses so little water, seats and carpets are usually dry enough to use almost straight away — not overnight like traditional shampooing.

What does it cost?

It depends on the size of the vehicle and what state it is in, which is why we quote rather than guess. Tell us what you drive and roughly what needs doing and you will have a straight price back, usually within the hour. There is no call-out fee and no obligation.

What if I am not happy with it?

Tell us within 48 hours and we will come back and put it right at no charge wherever we reasonably can. We are a local business trading on our name in a small area — a job done badly costs us far more than it costs you.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Aveley and cover Thurrock, Grays, Purfleet, South Ockendon, Tilbury, Chafford Hundred, Stanford-le-Hope, Corringham, Basildon and Brentwood across Essex, plus Upminster, Hornchurch, Romford, Rainham, Dagenham and Barking in East London. If your postcode is not on that list, ask anyway.

If it is not right, we come back

We would rather turn down a job we cannot do well than take your money and disappoint you. If something is not right when we have finished, tell us within 48 hours and we will return and sort it at no charge.

Fully insured. No call-out fee. No obligation to book after a quote.

Weekends book up first. We only take on what we can do properly in a day, so if you want a Saturday slot it is worth asking early in the week.

Last thing

Your car is not dirty. It has been cleaned badly.

Give us one job and see the difference. It takes under a minute to ask, there is no obligation, and we will tell you honestly if we are not the right fit.
